Think Better. Live Brighter.
Quiet Change™
A gentle, nervous system based approach to lasting change – combining hypnotherapy and strategic psychotherapy.
Change doesn’t have to be a fight.
Most people I work with have already tried hard to change. They’ve made promises to themselves, set rules, pushed through, and still found themselves back in the same place – reaching for the drink, the food, the worry or the habit they wanted to leave behind.
That isn’t a lack of willpower. Very often, it’s a nervous system doing exactly what it learned to do to keep you safe.
When your system feels under threat, it reaches for whatever has brought relief before. When it feels safe, it can let go of old patterns and make room for new ones.
Quiet Change™ is built around that simple idea.

What is Quiet Change™?
Quiet Change™ is the way I work. It brings together hypnotherapy and strategic psychotherapy with a focus on the nervous system, so change can happen gently, from the inside out, rather than through force.
Instead of battling the problem head-on, we work with your nervous system. We look at what it is protecting you from, help it feel safer, and then gently guide it towards new responses that fit the life you want now.
The change is often quiet. Clients tell me they simply notice one day that the craving has softened, the worry has less grip, or the old habit doesn’t call to them in the same way.
The Four Steps.
Quiet Change™ comes back to four simple steps you can use anywhere – in sessions, with the workbook, or in the middle of a busy day.
1. Notice
What’s happening in my body, my attention, my emotions and my urges? Change starts with simply noticing what is here, without needing to fix it straight away.
2. Name
Am I settled, revved up, flat or far away – or a mix? Putting a name to your state helps your system make sense of it, and makes it easier to recognise next time.
3. Nudge
What’s the smallest safe step that might shift me by just 5%? Instead of asking ‘How do I make this go away?’, we ask ‘What might make the next minute a little more manageable?’ Small shifts are easier for your body to accept, and much easier to repeat.
4. Nourish
Over time, we build the connection, glimmers and gentle daily practices that help your nervous system feel safe more of the time. The more nourished your system is, the wider your window becomes – and the less you need to push.
In sessions, hypnotherapy helps your nervous system settle and feel safe, while strategic psychotherapy helps us understand and change the patterns that keep you stuck.
Together, they help each step happen more naturally. Between sessions, your recordings and the Quiet Change™ workbook help you keep practising.

Hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, working together.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of mind – a little like the moments just before sleep, or when you’re absorbed in a good book. In this state, your nervous system can settle and you can take in new ideas and possibilities more easily. You remain aware and in control the whole time.
Strategic psychotherapy
Strategic psychotherapy is a practical, focused form of talk therapy. Rather than spending years exploring the past, it looks at what is keeping a problem going now and what needs to change for things to be different.
Why combine them?
Talking helps us understand the pattern. Hypnosis helps the nervous system feel and practise something new. Together, they can help change take hold at both levels – how you think about the problem and how your body responds to it.
